We have produced a CD of Connecticut singer/songwriters who have donated a song written in the face of heartache and would like to use it to help support this community. This compilation CD is titled "Connecticut Voices For Heroes", and was professionally mastered, packaged and put up for sale to the general public. All proceeds will be supporting, "Healing Newtown" (Facebook or http://www.healingnewtown.org/index.php/contribute), a wonderful healng through the arts program, in association with The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission.

The reponse to our call for musicians has been humbling. Due to the large response internationally, we will now be increasing our target from local to nationwide for a second (double) CD titled, "Voices From Around The World, The Music". This 2nd CD will be available early May!

This Album will be providing instruments to The S.H.A.C.K (The Sandy hook Arts Center For Kids http://www.rally.org/sandyhookartscenterforkids) and the rest of the funds will be to provide many needed instruments the Newtown School District Music Dept's. As long as we can provide, we will!

VOICES FOR HEROES . PUBLISH YOUR WORDS AND ART!

This website is dedicated to the survivors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Due to the enormous outpouring of love and support for the victims, families and survivors, we have developed "Voices For Heroes". We see this as an avenue to leave your heartfelt messages, letters and poems with Newtown. We will PUBLISH YOUR WORDS of love. This book will be called, "Voices From Around The World... A book of love, from our hearts to yours."

Upon completion and release, copies of the finished product will be given to the town of Sandy Hook / Newtown, the Board of Education and to the victims' families. All proceeds from this book will go to fund Teachers and First Responders in Crisis.

All entries will be reviewed and edited. As we are sure you can understand, ONLY positive and inspirational messages of love will be included. Any negative, abusive, profane language or political views will be rejected. We will not change your words.

Although we know the pain and heartbreak is too deep to ever forget, we hope this can assist to heal everyone's helpless broken hearts. It is nice to know the families and survivors will see all of our love preserved in print. Thank you very much for your care and interest in our mission to assist in Newtown's loss and recovery!

ATT ARTISTS: We are looking for a page of art for our Dedication page. It will be the first page in the book, You may submit original, inspirational and loving art... for Newtown. The chosen page will have the dedication written on it (it may be color or B/W). Those that are not chosen for the first page, will still be published in the book, but in black and white. (You will keep your copyrights) Children's drawings are welcome!!!
